Our Story

Poodle & Hound is a boutique dog grooming salon based in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria, offering calm, fear-free grooming tailored to each individual dog.

We created Poodle & Hound from the belief that grooming should feel considered — not rushed, overwhelming, or impersonal. Inspired by our own experience searching for a gentler environment for our Standard Poodle, Rumi, we set out to create a space where dogs could feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for throughout the grooming process.

Our approach is intentionally low-volume, allowing us to focus on quality, consistency, and building trust with every dog that visits the salon. We specialise in poodles, oodles, and companion breeds, with an emphasis on coat health, comfort, gentle handling, and timeless grooming styles that feel natural and refined.

Every detail of Poodle & Hound has been designed to create a calm and welcoming experience for both dogs and their owners — from the products we use to the atmosphere we’ve created within the salon itself.
